James began his career as a dump truck operator 40 years ago. Some years later he became self employed setting up a Haulage Contractor company called J&T Transport. After some hard, yet successful years trading in the haulage industry, James decided to diversify slightly and expand his business and purchased a JCB 180 excavator.
In 1994 J&T transport was replaced by ACE (Auchtertool Contractors and Excavations) with only James himself on board. The company expanded rapidly, building a staff of 7.
During his years as an employee and an employer for ACE, James identified a shortfall of skilled labour within the construction industry and hence decided to set up Camilla Training to address this shortfall.
Whilst ACE continued to operate, James began work as a trainer with a local training provider, and in 2004 Camilla Training was established.
Initially James and one part-time administrator managed to run the business but it was soon evident that the company was capable of growth. Over the past 10 years the company has grown considerably, gaining the trust of customers throughout the country and building an excellent reputation within the industry.
Camilla Training now has 4 full-time and 1 part-time trainers, a bank of peripatetic trainers, and an admin team of 5.
We’re constantly adding to our training portfolio and developing our business and we hope that you will join us and help us to build a bright new future.
