We are accredited by both NPORS (National Plant Operator’s Registration Scheme) and CPCS (Construction Plant Competence Scheme). This means (dependent on the category of plant you require) that you can choose which accreditation and card scheme suits your business and your customers best.
We have worked with NPORS and CPCS for many years now and our team have valuable experience and knowledge of the workings of each of the schemes. We are here to offer advice and support at any time regarding how the card schemes work and how they can support your business.
The NPORS (CSCS), and the CPCS cards require candidates to complete a CITB Health, Safety & Environment test. This test can be sat at our very own test centre. Both CPCS and NPORS (CSCS) card schemes also require candidates to complete a relevant SVQ to progress from their red trained operator card to their blue competent operator card. Camilla Training is an SQA approved centre and we also deliver these SVQ’s.
Established in 1992, the National Plant Operator’s Registration scheme is now one of the UK’s leading accreditation and registration bodies, working across the construction, industrial, utilities, warehousing and distribution, agricultural, ports and marine sectors.
The scheme consists of the following cards:
The NPORS operator card is a record of the training or assessment an individual has undertaken that proves their ability to safely operate an item of plant machinery / equipment.
The achievement of an NPORS operator card is a straightforward process designed to ensure that candidates follow the correct path to achievement. At the same time, it offers employers a credible, flexible and cost-effective alternative plant operator card.
NPORS is an approved CSCS partner scheme. Card schemes displaying the CSCS logo are based on the approved standards as mandated by the Construction Leadership Council and like the CSCS scheme, require the holder to gain an N/SVQ and pass the Health and Safety Test. The NPORS CSCS card should be accepted when presented on site.
In order to achieve the red trained operator card, candidates must complete:
in order to achieve the blue competent operator card, candidates must:
