This Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) Level 5 in Winter Service (construction) at SCQF level 5 allows candidates to demonstrate competence in job-related skills in their particular area of work and expertise.
This qualification covers areas such as operating plant, machinery, equipment or vehicles to prevent, clear or reduce the impact of ice or snow. It includes moving, handling and storing resources; productive work practices; and general health, safety and welfare in the workpalce.
SVQ’s are based on National Occupational Standards. SQA works in partnership with other organisations to ensure that National Occupational Standards (NOS) are relevant to the current and future needs of Scottish industries.
