Completion of the SVQ Controlling lifting operations: Supervising lifts will allow candidates with the CPCS / NPORS red trained operator card to progress to the blue competence card.
The Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) in Controlling Lifting operations – Supervising lifts (construction) at SCQF Level 7 allows candidates to demonstrate competence in job related skills in their particular area of work and expertise.
This qualification covers areas such as: Develop and maintain good working relationships: supervise lifting activities; implements, maintain and review systems for health, safety, welfare, wellbeing and environmental protection; co-ordinate work control; allocate and monitor the use of plant, equipment or machinery; maintain the dimensional accuracy of the work; coordinate preparation for site operations and allocate work and monitor people’s performance.
