Completion of the SVQ Controlling lifting operations: slinging/ signalling (construction) will allow candidates with the CPCS / NPORS red trained operator card to progress to the blue competence card.
The Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) in controlling lifting operations slinging / signalling (construction at SCQF Level 5) allows candidates to demonstrate competence in job related skills in their particular area of work and expertise.
This qualification covers areas such as: slinging, signalling and the movement of suspended loads; conform to general workplace health, safety and welfare; and conform to productive work practices.
This qualification has been designed in partnership and jointly awarded with the CITB sector skills council to ensure relevance to the sector.
