Aim of Course
Our 4*4 off road course is designed to train the candidate to be able to operate the vehicle safely and in accordance with current guidelines and legislation; and to have underpinning knowledge of their responsibilities when doing so, under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and other current legislation.

- Driving licence requirements
- PPE
- Pre-start checks
- PUWER
- COSHH
- Inspection
- Driving skills
- Carrying loads
Practical session covering:
- Vehicle checks
- Specialist vehicle controls
- Starting and moving off
- Stop and start position
- Ascents and descents
- Ditches, ridges, slopes and ruts
Course duration
1 – 2 days dependent on the experience of the candidate.
Course certification
Depending on a candidates requirements, on successful completion of this course candidates can be issued with either of the following certification:
- NPORS (National Plant Operators Registration Scheme) card
- CTA (Camilla Training Aspects) certificate.
