Driver CPC Periodic Training

Driver CPC Periodic training is the requirement for drivers of buses, coaches and lorries to gain 35 hours worth of relevant JAUPT approved training every 5 years in order to drive professionally.

The aim of this EU legislation is to ensure better trained drivers who are up to date with current legislation, and to reduce road casualties – ultimately resulting in improved road safety across Europe.

On completion of 35 hours of Driver CPC Periodic Training drivers will automatically be issued with a DQC (Drivers Qualification Card) which should be kept on their person at all times as this is now a requirement to drive professionally throughout the EU.

Please note that some exemptions do apply to the driver CPC Periodic training scheme.  Please refer to DVSA for further information.

Our approved courses were developed around the Driver CPC syllabus and with our customers and are fully approved by JAUPT (Joint Approvals Unit for Periodic Training).  Each course is 7 hours long, therefore drivers need to complete 5 of our courses to achieve the required 35 hours of training.

We are approved by ITA so this can be used towards the cost of our Driver CPC courses.

We have extensive experience of delivering Driver CPC courses for businesses and can work with you to develop courses specifically tailored to your business.  For further information please get in touch
